Kathrin Hälbich (or her webspace-provider) collects data on each access to the offer (so-called server log files). This includes: Name of the requested Web page, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful retrieval, browser type plus version, the operating system of the user, referrer URL (previously visited page ), IP address and the requesting provider.I use this log data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operation, security and the optimization of the offer.

Use of Personal Data

Personal information is information that will help to identify a person, i.e. information that can be traced back to a person. This includes the name, the e-mail address or phone number, as well as data on preferences, hobbies, memberships or which websites were viewed by someone among personal data.Personal data will only be collected, used and passed on, if permitted by law or the user gave consent to the data collection.

When you get in contact with me (for example, via the contact form or email), the information of the user are used for the purpose of processing the request and are saved in the event that additional questions arise later on.

Comments and Contributions

When users leave comments or other contributions on the blog, their IP addresses are stored. This is done for security of the provider, if someone writes illegal content in comments (insults, banned political propaganda, etc.). In this case I can be held liable even for the comment or post and therefore I am interested in the identity of the author.

Comment subscription

Follow up Comments can be subscribed to by users. The user will receive a confirmation email to verify that the user is the owner of the email address entered. Users can unsubscribe ongoing comment subscriptions at any time. The confirmation email will contain instructions to do so.

This website uses the service Twitter and Twitter buttons. These buttons are offered by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. They can be identified by terminology such as “Twitter” or “episode”, connected to a symbol of a blue bird. Using the buttons, it is possible to contribute or to share the content of Inside My Portmanteau with Twitter, or to follow Kathrin Hälbich on Twitter. When a user visits a web page of this website, which contains such a button, the user’s browser has a direct connection to the servers of Twitter.
